"It's a Small World"

Location: North Thompson Fall Fair & Rodeo, 9°C, Blue skies above, 9:05 am

Daily Goal:
Already achieved - make it to the exhibit hall to drop off our entries prior to the hall closing for judging at 8:30 this morning.

Trials & Tribulations:
It costs $8/day to get into the fair - however it only costs $5.50 to enter an exhibit and then we get a 3-day pass. I took the liberty of signing up all members of my family in the same category. I figure we might as well compete against each other.

Successes: Four entries on display in Part VIII, Section 1, Category 52
"It's a Small World".

That translates to a flower arrangement no taller or wider than 10cm, container included.

Failures:

  • For Becky to be included in the competition... she has to work the poor girl and can't come to the fair this year.
  • For me to properly size up my competition. The last time Mike entered a flower decorating category "Automotive Ignenuity" for men only, he took 1st place. This year, the twirp created a themed "Dairy Cow" entry to match the theme of the fair. Of course, in true Mike-fashion, he chose a lovely display including two cows... one with a daisy in it's teeth... the other with a daisy shoved up it's ass... but I think he has a chance!
